Revd Ian Rutherford ​plays a leading role in the action networks, partnerships and taskforces in Greater Manchester and works closely with Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham.
Rev. Ian has a national role within The Methodist Church in Homelessness and Housing and in Zero Carbon and is part of the coordination team of the Methodist City Centre Network.

In June 2023, Ian hosted the first ever 'GM Networks Connect'. Bringing together all of the major Greater Manchester networks and those who work within them for one huge day at Freight Island in Manchester.
