August 2025 || September Zoom Update

We are pleased to invite you to our next Methodist Housing and Homelessness Gathering on Zoom on Monday 22 September from 10am to 12noon.

We will hear an update from the Review that has been set up following our successful Housing Memorial which we hope will bring a more flexible process for our provision of genuinely affordable housing and of emergency provision.

We will also discuss recent progress on campaigning work with the Government on Children and Families in Temporary Accommodation and on a Civil Society Housing Fund to assist with development finance and infrastructure.

July 2025 || Methodist Conference Memorial Update

Conference affirmed that the provision of genuinely affordable homes and of emergency accommodation can be an integral part of the mission of The Methodist Church as a sign of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and can further the purposes of The Methodist Church as an outworking of our commitment to be a justice seeking church.

This was just the second time that the Housing and Homelessness Gathering had met in person. The first was in 2020, also at Carrs Lane. Circumstances led to one being cancelled, and another moving online, and whilst it's been great to meet online, being together again was wonderful!
